Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?

We cover the North West of England including Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Manchester and Cheshire. If you’re just outside these areas, please get in touch — we may still be able to help depending on the service required.

Who do you work with?

We support disabled adults, children and older people, as well as individuals recovering from injury or illness. We also work with families, landlords and professional referrers such as case managers, solicitors, local authorities and housing providers.

Do I need an OT assessment to access your services?

Not always. Some clients are suitable for a Trusted Assessor or just come to us for design, project management or equipment support directly. However, OT input can be essential for ensuring solutions are safe, appropriate and evidence-based.

Can you supply and install specialist equipment?

Yes. We offer a complete equipment service including assessment, supply, installation, insurance and ongoing maintenance. Because we have access to the wider market, we can recommend the most suitable product rather than being tied to one manufacturer.

Can you help me apply for a DFG?

Yes. We can support at every stage including needs assessment, evidence gathering, applications, liaising with local authorities and advising on specifications and feasibility. Where needed, we also support clients to challenge decisions or delays.

Do you only provide services through the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG)?

No. We support both DFG-funded and privately funded projects. We can help clients understand the best route based on timescales, need, property type and funding availability.

Can you manage the full adaptation project from start to finish?

Yes. Our hub model allows us to provide a complete journey: OT assessment, equipment planning, adaptation design, tendering, contractor selection and full project management through to completion.

Do you offer reports for solicitors and case managers?

Yes. We provide clear, evidence-based reports to support personal injury and clinical negligence cases, rehabilitation planning, housing need recommendations and equipment/adaptation justification.

What types of adaptations do you support?

We support a wide range of adaptations including accessible bathrooms/wet rooms, ramps, door widening, stairlifts, through-floor lifts, hoisting solutions, kitchen adaptations, extensions and full property layout redesigns.

Do you offer rehabilitation services?

Yes. We provide OT-led rehabilitation following personal injury or clinical negligence, focused on meaningful goal setting, functional independence and measurable progress.

How do I enquire or make a referral?

You can contact us directly via the website form, email or phone. Professionals can also refer using our referral form and we will respond promptly to discuss next steps.
